Conquering the Yorkshire 3 Peaks

Last weekend 10 members of the Icanho team took on the grueling Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge in order to raise funds for the service

Calling themselves “The 3 Peaky Climbers”, the team faced demanding inclines, scrambling and rocky terrain all while enduring heavy rainfall, strong winds and cold temperatures.  However, despite the difficult conditions, every member of the team completed the challenge; along with their friends and families who came along to support. They walked for over 13 hours, covering 24 miles and taking 66,000 steps!

The challenge was organised to support our mission of raising £4000 to go towards the acquisition of essential equipment which will enhance the rehabilitation process for people we support. We are incredibly proud to say that we hit our target, receiving over 100 generous donations.

We are very grateful to a former member of staff and physiotherapist: Mark Flewitt for organising and leading the event.

This achievement would not have been possible without the amazing support we have received so far. We would like to say a huge thank to everyone who has donated, encouraged, and supported the team throughout the journey.

Although the challenge is complete, we are still accepting donations via the link below: https://www.justgiving.com/team/yorkshire3peakyclimbers?utm_medium=TE&utm_source=CL

Congratulations once again to The 3 Peaky Climbers for an outstanding achievement, what an incredible weekend.
